The Uncarved Block is a creative collaboration between a girl & a boy in love. We want to make you nice things. We want you to love your home.
This table is made from a single slab of locally salvaged ash. The legs are raw tube steel. The result is a heavy piece of hardwood that feels light. Thanks to Catherine Mangosing for the photo.
The wood for this mirror was salvaged from the contents of our clients renovation. Other than nail removal we kept the joists the way we got them: raw. This thing is a Goliath, the outside measures 7' x 4.5'. We want one.
We retrofitted an old fuse box and turned it into a sconce. Ceramic socket, tungsten bulb and a giant on/off switch that's sure to bring the inner-child out.
We designed and built these twin dry-erase workbenches for our friends Jen and Tiffany's new shop, Miracle Thieves. The shop is on the smaller side but they wanted two large sturdy tables they could run all sorts of workshops on. We kept things simple. The space is white so we kept it white from the acrylic top to the milk stained legs.
We made two identical dry-erase boards for the offices of Sunview Consulting. The surface is 1/4 inch Acrylic mounted onto 2 1/2 inches of Russian Birch ply. These pieces are heavy duty and require heavy-duty hardware to hang them flush to the wall. We think they're pretty sexy.
We made this sandwich board with two old windows we salvaged from a house that was getting new ones. Glass makes such a lovely surface to write on. It can be made as a wall mounted dry-erase board in any colour of the rainbow. Just ask.
